North Carolina Lottery
Now, it's official. The ticket stub actually says it supports NC Education. As an educator, I hope and pray that it will put money into my pocket instead of taking it out :O So Mike Easley, does this mean a raise in teacher salary? After all, we are the lowest paid teachers in the Southeast. Time to catch up!!!

Lisa, I hate to burst your bubble but I witnessed this first hand in Texas. Texas got an "education" lottery and then 2 years later during the wee hours of the morning a vote was taken in the House and the "education" lottery became the General Fund Lottery. Im not so sure that teachers need more money anyway. After looking at what a 1st year teacher makes with all the benifits it comes out to about $19.71 an hour. I would love to make that. Keep up the good work teaching the children of Rockingham County.
